Squeeeeky clean?

Soap is a wondrous invention.

A friend of mine is always talking about the best price on this and the best price on that that she found. It hardly even matters what the "this" and "that" are considering the kinds of prices she's talking about. They usually revolve around the 85% and UP range on top quality whatevers. Things like a REAL massage for $19. A new $450 cell phone for her daughter at college for $50. A membership to Angie's List for $39. For a year. It was the Angie's List that got me. I had to finally ask her how she did it. I guess she had been waiting for me to ask. I was thinking she was trying the extreme thing like on TV but all she does apparently is browse through coupons using a special browser tool.

I didn't believe her, so I tried it. I found out not only could I get those same deals she was getting, I could get them locally, for things I actually wanted and needed. Too often I was seeing discounts online for those "luxury items", the stuff that mothers of 4 children don't often have the time or money to think about. It's always been harder to find discounts on the "need it" stuff.

Not anymore.

After my first mere 15 minute shopping session I now get to be the one to brag on the "this" and "that" that I found. Ok, she wasn't exactly bowled over that I scored 2 hours of handyman work for $25, 2 hours of home cleaning for $39 and $40 for 3 rooms' carpets' cleaned.

Score would be the completely correct word for this cleaning jackpot I hit.

Remember, I have FOUR children.

And 2 cats. And 2 birds. 4 Fish. A snail.

And a hamster.
